Cobequid Dance Academy is proud to provide free space for artists of all genres. We are committed to developing, nurturing and supporting the dance community in Nova Scotia at both the pre-professional and professional levels. Our team is made up of dance artists and dance educators from a variety of backgrounds who are excited for the future of dance and art in our local and surrounding communities. Dance artists who are studying at the post-secondary stage or who are in transition between professional contracts are welcome to take classes at CDA free of charge. For activities that are not dance based, we are happy to provide a very reasonable rental fee for our studios. Please contact Melissa at info@cobequiddanceacademy.com for more information.

All of our studios have marley floor. Studios A, B and D have sprung floors, and C has a special marley designed for installation over concrete/tile. Our studios all have sound systems that are equipped with bluetooth and the rooms have acoustic paneling to reduce echo and noise transfer between rooms. Each studio has mirrors and wall mounted barres. We also have a number of portable barres and a fully stocked equipment centre with resistance bands, stability balls of varying sizes (from handheld to 75cm), weights, slider discs, foam rollers and yoga mats. All of our equipment is available for use when using studio space.
