Exam Preparatory Program Auditions


Interested in more in depth study in Ballet? CDA's Exam Preparatory Program gives students the opportunity to train for Royal Academy of Dance examinations. Students are enrolled in a minimum of two ballet technique classes per week plus one conditioning/Progressing Ballet Technique class, a Character Dance class (Graded levels) and a Pointe or Pointe preparatory class (Grade 4 and up). Students from our EP Program have been accepted into study programs at Canada's National Ballet School, The School of American Ballet Theatre, Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Alberta Ballet School, Nutmeg Conservatory, Walnut Hill, The Ailey School, The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, London Contemporary School of Dance, Joffery Ballet School (NY), Peridance Centre, George Brown College, Randolph College for the Performing Arts, Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre and Ballet Jorgen Canada.

Auditions will be divided by age group. Students do not need to prepare anything in advance. Please come dressed in a leotard and tights or leggings and a well fitted t-shirt with hair neatly pulled off the face in a bun (or other style for shorter hair) Ballet slippers are preferred but bare feet are acceptable if the student does not have ballet slippers.
