Adult Dance & Fitness Program Registration

Tuition fees listed are for the full dance year (Sept to June) and are subject to HST. A non-refundable registration fee of $20 is applied at the time of enrolment.

Adult Ballet I - Beginner

Day: Monday

Time: 5:30-6:30

Faculty: Shona Duggan

Tuition: $502

In this class participants will be introduced to the language of ballet through various barre and centre exercises. They will be taught the use of the leg in rotation, the five basic positions and movement of the leg as well as core arm positions. Centre work will explore port de bras combinations, training students in the proper use of the arms and help build students core strength and stability. Classes will also have a conditioning element which will aim to improve stamina and flexibility.

Adult Ballet II - Intermediate Beginner

Day: Monday

Time: 6:45-8:00

Building upon Level I, Level II goes deeper into the work and aesthetics of ballet. Barre exercises are longer in length and bring an awareness to building and sustaining muscularity and control. Introduction to the pirouette and new jumps as well as travelling steps across the floor are added in this level.

Adult Ballet III - Advanced Beginner

Day: Thursday

A progression from Adult Ballet II with new turns, jumps, and diagonal combinations as well as more challenging barre work to increase stamina, strength and flexibility. Participants in this class should have a minimum of three years recent Ballet training.

Beginner Adult Heels

Day: Tuesday

Time: 6:15-7:15

Get ready to unleash your inner diva! Our Heel's classes draw from elements of commercial Hip Hop, Street Jazz and Burlesque to teach participant how to move in heels and exude confidence through movement. No prior training or experience required! Class can be attended in heels, sneakers or bare feet.

Heels - Level 1 Beginner

Day: Wednesday

Time: 8:00-9:00

A continuation of our popular Heels classes from last year. Participants must have a minimum of one year experience in Heels or have prior dance training. 

Adult Hip Hop

Day: Thursday

Time: 6:15-7:00

Faculty: Makayla Criss

For all levels of experience, this class will focus on the fundamentals of Hip Hop technique. Participants will be lead through a thorough warm-up and will have the opportunity to learn various choreographed combinations.

Adult Jazz

Day: Monday

Time: 8:00-9:00

For all levels of experience, this high-energy class will be the jazzy workout you've been looking for! Classes will have a fitness element paired with choreography and time for stretching at the end.

Adult Lyrical

Day: Thursday

Time: 7:00-7:45

For the adult beginner, this class will focus on the Lyrical style of Contemporary dance, created by merging many different styles including Ballet and Jazz.Lyrical dancing focuses on the expression of strong emotion, on individual approach and expressiveness of the dancer's movements.

Intro to Tap for Adults and Teens

Day: Thursday

For teens age 13+ and adults who are new to Tap. This class will incorporate basic foundation steps with a musical theatre flare.

Barre & Stretch

A combination of Ballet-inspired barre work utilizing light weights and resistance bands for a full body workout. For the absolute beginner or those with experience, this class will be tailored to fit your fitness goals!
