Julia McLellan

Julia is a singer, dancer, and actor hailing from Bass River, Nova Scotia. She has performed on stages across North America, including three companies of the Tony award winning hit, Kinky Boots (Toronto, 1st National Tour, and on Broadway). Julia alternated the role of Dorothy Gale on the 1st National tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Wizard of Oz, following the sit-down production at Mirvish Productions in Toronto. Julia has also led companies on some of the largest stages in Canada, including starring as Val Clark in The Stratford Shakespeare Festival's A Chorus Line, originating Persephone in the North American premier of Mythic, Doralee in Citadel's 9 to 5, and Katherine Plummer in Newsies at Drayton Entertainment. She founded and runs Coach With Julia, a pre-professional and industry level coaching business that specializes in music theatre and pop vocals.

Her stage career intertwines with climate activism, as she is the co-founder and Executive Director of the Canadian Green Alliance, the national not-for-profit dedicated to bridging the gap between theatre and sustainability. Julia is a proud graduate of Sheridan College, and Cobequid Dance Academy!
